LATAM GLOBAL SCHOOL (LGS) is authorized by the Department of Education, State of Florida, in the United States of America, in the development of its corporate purpose to provide K-12 academic service programs for Elementary, Middle and High School students who are Spanish-speaking residents in the primary territories of North and South (Latin) American. This document is established as the security and personal data treatment policy for the general public and subscribers of the academic service offered by LGS.
LGS offers their services on the website www.latamglobalschool.com (‘the website’). These services are provided through the academic platform at the URL address edu.latamglobalschool.online (‘the platform’).
This personal data treatment policy governs all activity from first entering the website www.latamglobalschool.com and even after termination of the subscriber for reasons of program cancellation, voluntary withdrawal or program termination in accordance with the legal reserve that LGS must respect as an educational institution.
LGS is an integral part of a network of institutions and societies dedicated to the dissemination and promotion of knowledge from the United States of America to the entire world. Therefore, you must have a reasonable expectation that when accessing the LGS information portal or the educational platform that you may encounter hyperlinks to other Internet sites. Occasionally these sites may share the LATAM GLOBAL SCHOOL (LGS) brand or the brand of one of our affiliates. Sites that are linked to the service or have the LGS brand may have Privacy Policies that differ from those of LATAM GLOBAL SCHOOL that you must read and accept when using them.

AUTOMATIC DATA COLLECTION. You can visit our website and use some of our services anonymously. LGS may collect certain personal information for the use of our Services regardless of whether or not you have registered with LGS or our affiliates. For example, LGS may collect information about the type of Internet browser, computer, or operating system. Other data points might include your IP address, geographic location, connection speed, or the domain name of your service provider. The website or advertisement from where you connected to our website may also be collected. When you use a mobile device (i.e., tablet or smartphone) to access our service, we may access, collect, and store on your device and/or remotely save one or more “Device Identifiers”. These Device Identifiers are small data files or logical data structures that are associated or stored on your mobile device in order to uniquely identify your mobile device. Once you have registered with us, we also track and collect information about you including your transactions with us, our affiliates, and others; and the patterns that you followed when using our website, such as the pages of the site that you visited, searches that you conducted and the length of time you spent on our page. We may also keep a history of your correspondence when you contact us.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION. You can access the website www.latamglobalschool.com without the need to provide any personal information. Requesting information about the educational products offered by LGS requires that you register your contact information in the template provided on the website for this purpose. This is the first information about you that LGS will collect and store for purely commercial purposes.
After registering your contact information, one of our advisors will contact you to offer our educational products, academic programs and other academic support tools that LGS and affiliates have developed to supplement your education.
Participation in our academic programs requires completion of an enrollment application in English through online portals or with the assistance of Student Advisors by telephone or WhatsApp. This information will generate your student profile and consist of personal information such as name, surnames, place of residence, nationality, email, telephone or mobile number, gender, and age. We will also ask for all academic records prior to joining LGS that will be a part of your permanent record.
By signing the application document, you accept and authorize LATAM GLOBAL SCHOOL to collect, store, safeguard, transmit and process your personal and academic information with the legal reserve, authorization that is extended to that information that is collected virtually or via phone call.
As a subscriber to an LGS Service, personal and financial information such as credit cards or ecards will be maintained in accordance with applicable law. If personal or financial information is requested through any of the hyperlinks related to any of our allies, you must review and accept the privacy policies that these pages have. LGS nor any of its affiliates will be responsible for the disclosure of the information to third parties related to or unrelated to the educational Service we provide to our Subscribers.
Upon completion of registration, payment method selection, and the monthly payment/payment in full has been verified, LGS will send a username and password that will permit access to the educational platform.
When entering the edu.latamglobalschool.online platform, you must enter, modify, and verify the information available in the My Profile tab. This information on our platform constitutes the student’s resume.
REGISTRATION OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS. LGS prohibits minors, defined as children or adolescents under 18 years of age, to be Subscribers. Enrollment and website access to any of the LGS academic programs must be carried out by a responsible adult, preferably a parent or guardian, who through the completion and subscription of the application form authorizes LGS under its responsibility to collect, safeguard, transmit and manage the personal information of the minor student.
The Subscriber agrees to the following conditions when using the educational platform, communication platforms, and all related LGS activities. All users may be subject to periodic monitoring without notice to 1) provide safeguards for student/parent interactions with teachers, staff, and other students; 2) promote knowledge sharing about exceptional teaching methods; 3) quality improvements; 4) monitor behavior of participants to satisfy various code of conducts for teachers, students, parents and staff; and 5) any other unstated conditions that may be deemed necessary by LGS to investigate, verify , and address questions, complaints, or similar.
ACADEMIC INFORMATION: All academic records generated from student educational activity by using the tools designed and implemented by LGS for their academic training are part of the student’s personal information.
The publication of academic records, corresponding to status, courses and grades will be made by LGS only to the student and or his/her guardian (THE SUBSCRIBER), who may request such information via email. LGS may issue the necessary certifications, certificates, or a summary of information requested to the subscriber or interested party.
Any artifacts (e.g., texts, videography material, exhibitions, general production of an intellectual nature) made by the student in the development of their academic activities is part of the academic record and enjoys the legal reserve required by the Department of Education of the State of Florida of the USA. THE SUBSCRIBER accepts and authorizes LGS to collect, store, safeguard, transmit and process this information.
LGS, affiliates, or their service providers may retain information on cancelled or deactivated accounts associated with your profile information for a commercially reasonable period of time for records retention related to auditing purposes, to honor transcript requests by the Subscriber, or for general archiving.
LGS may publish testimonials from its subscribers on website and affiliate social networks that may contain personal information. You grant LGS implied consent to publish testimonials, comments, name and any other representation that comes from you when you accept the Terms and Conditions of the Services.
SECURITY: Subscriber privacy is important to LATAM Global School. LGS takes precautions to protect your sensitive financial information such as credit card numbers. We take all reasonable commercial measures to protect said information by establishing a secure-socket-layer (“SSL”) connection with our Web Browser. This industry standard technology helps to protect the transmission of payment information to the website. You can verify the security of your connection by viewing the URL address bar in your Browser window. When accessing a server protected by SSL, the first characters of the address will change from “http” to “https.” While we take reasonable security methods to protect the data that resides on our servers, we acknowledge that no security system is impenetrable. Consequently, we cannot guarantee the security of our servers or that the information you provide us may be intercepted during the transmission of data.
Therefore, LGS asks that you collaborate with us to help you protect your LATAM Global School account information.
- Please do not share your password.
- Always keep any written or digital records of your password in a location that is not easily accessible to others.
- LGS will store your password on our system in an encrypted form. Password storage will allow LGS to reset your password through an email communication if you misplace or forget your code. This will not affect your profile in any way.
- We suggest that you choose a password at least 12 characters long, is not an obvious word that you are associated with, contains numbers and letters, and special characters.
- We suggest changing your password at least every 60 days or at the completion of a course.
- Remember to close the session (log out) of your LATAM Global School platform and close your Browser each time you finish using your computer. This measure is to ensure that others cannot easily access your personal information, especially if you are using a public/shared computer.
SPECIAL SECTION FOR INTERNATIONAL USERS. The Service is located on servers in the United States of America. If you access the Service from the European Union (EU), Asia or any other region with laws regulating the collection, use or disclosure of personal information other than American laws, please note that you are transferring your personal data to the United States of America where data protection laws may differ. In the act of providing us with your data you are consenting to:
- the transfer of your personal data to the United States of America as indicated above.
RIGHTS OF THE INFORMATION HOLDERS
- RIGHT OF ACCESS AND PORTABILITY. The right to access and receive your personal information.
- RIGHT TO RECTIFICATION. The right to obtain the rectification of your personal information within a reasonable period, when that personal information is inaccurate or incomplete.
- RIGHT TO ERASE. The right to obtain the erasure of your personal information within a reasonable period in certain circumstances, in those cases when the personal information is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was collected or processed.
The right to erasure of information has a special limitation when it comes to academic information of the student given the legal reserve that it has.
- RIGHT TO OBJECT. The right to object in relation to your situation, to the processing of your personal information for direct marketing purposes, insofar as your opposition is related to such direct marketing.
HOW TO UPDATE REGISTRATION INFORMATION. Subscribers are required to maintain current and complete profile and permanent record information as part of the conditions for use of LGS Services.
