LATAM Global School, or LGS, is an educational institution authorized by the Department of Education of the State of Florida in the United States of America. In pursuit of its social objectives, LGS provides educational services for elementary, middle, and high school programs to Spanish-speaking students residing in the United States of America and other countries in Latin America. This document serves as the policy for security and handling of personal data for the general public and subscribers of the academic services offered by LATAM Global School.

LATAM Global School offers its services on the website (referred to as the website) through the academic platform available at the address (referred to as the platform).

This policy for handling personal data applies from the moment you enter the website and continues even after the subscriber is no longer connected due to program cancellation, voluntary withdrawal, or program completion in accordance with the legal requirements that LATAM Global School, as an educational institution, must comply with.

LATAM Global School is an integral part of a network of schools and societies dedicated to the dissemination and promotion of knowledge from the United States of America to the entire world. REGISTRATION INFORMATION: You can access the website without providing any personal information. If you are interested in receiving more information about the educational products offered by LATAM Global School, you must register your contact information on the template provided on the website for this purpose. This constitutes the first information about you that LGS will collect, store, and safeguard for purely commercial purposes.

After registering your contact information, one of our advisors will contact you to offer our educational products, academic programs, and other academic support tools that LGS and its group have developed to complement your and your children’s education.
If you are interested in participating in any of our academic programs, you must complete the application document, in which your personal information, such as your name, surname, place of residence, nationality, email address, cell phone number, gender, age, among others, will be collected. This also includes academic records prior to your association with LATAM Global School.

By signing the application document, you agree and authorize LATAM Global School to collect, store, safeguard, transmit, and process your personal and academic information in accordance with the legal requirements. This authorization extends to the information collected virtually or through a phone call.

For the subscription of the service, LGS may request financial information such as credit cards, e-cards, information that will be safeguarded in accordance with the law. If you are asked for personal or financial information through any of the hyperlinks related to our allies, you should review and accept the privacy policies of those pages. LGS or any of its affiliates will not be responsible for the disclosure of personal and financial information that you provide to third parties related or unrelated to the educational service provided to its subscribers.

Once the payment method is defined and the payment for the first month is verified, LGS will send you a username and password with which you can access the platform.
LGS’s Privacy Policy does not extend to anything inherent in the operation of the Internet; therefore, it also does not apply in any way contrary to the law or government regulations.
When you access the platform, you must verify and complete the information available in the “My Profile” tab. This information on our platform constitutes the student’s resume.

REGISTRATION OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS: The registration of children and adolescents under the age of 18 who wish to enroll and access one of the academic programs offered by LGS must be carried out by a responsible adult, preferably a parent or guardian. Through the completion and signing of the application form, the adult guardian, as a custodian, authorizes LGS, under their responsibility, to collect, safeguard, transmit, and manage the personal information of the minor student.

ACADEMIC INFORMATION: Any academic record generated as a result of the educational activity the student engages in, using the tools designed and implemented by LGS for their academic training, constitutes part of the student’s academic record.
The publication of academic records, including status, courses, and grades, will be provided by LGS only to the student and/or their guardian (THE CONTRACT HOLDER), who can request this information via email.

LGS may issue the necessary certifications or statements required by the CONTRACT HOLDER or simply provide a summary of the information as requested.
Texts, video material, presentations, and any intellectual productions made by the student as part of their academic activities are part of the academic record and are protected by the legal requirements of the Department of Education of the State of Florida, USA. THE CONTRACT HOLDER accepts and authorizes LGS to collect, store, safeguard, transmit, and process this information.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION: We work with third parties who provide services, which may include website hosting, promotion delivery, order processing, credit card authorization, data analysis, and other administrative services. Personal information, including financial information, may be shared with these third parties to provide these services. We try to impose confidentiality obligations on such service providers. Additionally, we reserve the right to disclose personal information to third parties when we believe it is in good faith and the law requires it, to enforce our Terms of Service, to protect the rights, property, or safety of LGS or the public, to respond to an emergency, or as stated in this Privacy Policy.

After the cancellation or deactivation of your account, LGS, its affiliates, or its service providers may retain the information associated with your profile details for a commercially reasonable period for backup, archiving, and/or audit purposes.
LGS may publish testimonials from its subscribers on our website and social media channels, which may contain personal information. Once you accept the applicable Terms and Conditions, you consent to LGS publishing any testimonial, comments, name, and any other representation originating from you.

SECURITY: We use reasonable security methods to protect the data stored on our servers. However, no security system is impenetrable; therefore, we cannot guarantee the security of our servers. It is also possible that the information you provide to us may be intercepted during data transmission.

Every time you provide sensitive information (e.g., credit card numbers) to LATAM Global School, LATAM Global School will take all reasonable commercial measures to protect that information and establish a secure connection with our web browser. LATAM Global School uses an industry-standard technology known as Secure Socket Layer (“SSL”) to protect the transmission of payment information to the website. Please cooperate with us. To help you protect your LATAM Global School account information, please keep your password secure. Your password is stored in our system in encrypted form because we understand that your privacy is very important. LATAM Global School will generate a new password if you forget it and will send it to your email address. This will not affect your profile in any way. We suggest choosing a password that is not obvious and contains numbers and letters. Additionally, we recommend that you do not share your password with anyone.
